Before there was pain…
Before there was fear…
Before there was shame…
There was God.
God is not just powerful — He is love (1 John 4:8).
He created the world and everything in it (Genesis 1:1).
The sky, the oceans, the flowers, the sun… and you.
You were not an accident.
You were created on purpose.
The Bible says you are “fearfully and wonderfully made” (Psalm 139:14).
From the beginning, humanity was created to live in close relationship with God (Genesis 1:27). There was peace. There was no death. There was no separation.
God gave humanity free will — the ability to choose.
But the first humans chose independence from Him (Genesis 3).
They chose their way over God’s way.
This is what the Bible calls sin.
Sin didn’t just break a rule.
It broke relationship.
“Through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin” (Romans 5:12).
Since then, every one of us has sinned (Romans 3:23).
We’ve all fallen short of God’s perfect goodness.
And the result of sin is separation from God —
“For the wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23).
No amount of good works can erase it (Ephesians 2:8–9).
We cannot fix ourselves.
But God did not walk away.
Because He is rich in mercy (Ephesians 2:4), He made a way back.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son…” (John 3:16).
God stepped into His own creation.
Jesus Christ was not just a teacher.
He was not just a prophet.
“He was with God, and He was God… and the Word became flesh and dwelt among us” (John 1:1,14).
Jesus lived a perfect, sinless life (Hebrews 4:15).
He healed the sick.
He forgave sinners.
He revealed the heart of the Father.
Sin carries a consequence — separation and death.
But “God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).
Jesus willingly went to the cross.
“He Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree” (1 Peter 2:24).
On the cross, He took the punishment for our sin — past, present, and future.
It looked like defeat…
But it was rescue.
Three days later, He rose from the dead (Matthew 28:6).
The resurrection means:
“Death has been swallowed up in victory” (1 Corinthians 15:54).
The Gospel is not about religion.
It is about relationship.
You don’t earn it.
You receive it.
“If you confess with your mouth ‘Jesus is Lord’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9).
Saved from separation.
Saved from eternal death.
Saved into forgiveness and new life.
“To all who received Him… He gave the right to become children of God” (John 1:12).
In Christ:
It begins with surrender.
“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Romans 10:13).
You can simply pray:
“God, I believe You are real.
I believe Jesus died for me and rose again.
I admit I have sinned and cannot save myself.
Forgive me.
Make me new.
Lead my life.”
There are no magic words — just faith and trust.
God is not distant.
He is not waiting to condemn you.
“The Lord is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9).
The Gospel is this:
You were created in love.
You were lost in sin.
You were rescued by grace.
You are invited into relationship.
And that invitation is open right now.
🌻 What Happens Next?
If you have just prayed and placed your trust in Jesus…
First... breathe.
Something eternal just shifted.
The Bible says that when someone turns to Christ, they become a “new creation” (2 Corinthians 5:17). That doesn’t mean you instantly feel different. It means your relationship with God has been restored.
You are now His child (John 1:12).
And He is not finished with you... He is just beginning.
You don’t need special words.
Prayer is simply conversation.
Tell Him your fears.
Tell Him your questions.
Thank Him.
Ask Him for help.
He promises, “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you” (James 4:8).
The Bible is how we learn who God is and who we are in Him.
If you’re new, start with:
Let it speak slowly to you.
“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path” (Psalm 119:105).
Faith was never meant to be lived alone.
Look for a Bible-believing church that teaches about Jesus clearly and lovingly.
Being around other believers will strengthen and encourage you (Hebrews 10:24–25).
Baptism is a public declaration that you belong to Jesus.
It doesn’t save you... faith does (Ephesians 2:8–9).
But baptism is a beautiful outward sign of an inward transformation (Romans 6:4).
You will still have questions.
You may still struggle.
You will not become instantly perfect.
But you are no longer alone.
God’s Spirit now lives in you (1 Corinthians 3:16).
He will guide you, correct you, comfort you, and grow you.
“He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion” (Philippians 1:6).
That’s okay.
Keep seeking.
Keep asking.
God is not intimidated by your questions.
“Seek and you will find” (Matthew 7:7).
